At the foot of the Carnic Alps, the chalet is quietly situated on the edge of the village with views over the Gail Valley. It is stylishly furnished and fully equipped, offering four comfortable bedrooms, three modern bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and an open living area. The private infrared sauna provides panoramic views, and from the south-facing terrace and balcony you can look out over the mountains and the local practice slope.

Surroundings
Alp Chalet Gundersheim is centrally located in the Gailtal, in the holiday region Nassfeld–Pressegger See – Lesachtal – Weissensee, right between Kötschach-Mauthen and Hermagor. It’s the perfect base for exploring the area: the gondola to the Nassfeld ski resort is only about a 15-minute drive away. Supermarkets, a bakery and various other shops can be reached within 5–10 minutes by car.

New Chalet
The chalet is located in a small private holiday area (11 plots) on the quiet edge of the village, with unobstructed mountain views. Some plots may still be developed, but guests generally do not experience any disturbance.
Alp Chalet Gundersheim is brand new and has been available for rental since early 2026. Our first guests rated their stay with 5-star reviews, especially highlighting the comfort, the location and the beautiful views.
The garden will be completed in spring 2026; during that period we will be temporarily closed.
Accessibility
Whether you arrive by car, plane, or train – Alp Chalet Gundersheim is surprisingly easy to reach. You travel straight into the Gailtal, surrounded by mountains yet without detours.
By car: The B111 takes you smoothly through the valley; from there it’s only a short drive to the chalet.
By plane: Klagenfurt and Ljubljana airports are both about a 1.5-hour drive away by rental car.
By train: International connections to Villach and Hermagor make traveling by train straightforward.
Whichever way you choose to travel, arrival feels relaxed – and that’s when the enjoyment begins.
