From Alp Chalet Gundersheim, you can head straight into nature. A forest trail leads to the hidden Nölblinger Waterfall, a rewarding destination well worth the walk. Several hiking routes to traditional Alpine huts and scenic viewpoints also begin close to the chalet.

Whether you prefer a gentle walk through the valley or a challenging mountain hike, the spectacular Gailtal landscape is literally on your doorstep.

The Perfect Place to Cool Off

Swimming

On warm summer days, you'll find plenty of opportunities to cool down. The outdoor swimming pool in Kirchbach is just a few minutes away by car, while the natural swimming pool in Mauthen offers a peaceful place to relax.

If the weather isn't ideal, the Aquarena in Kötschach-Mauthen features both indoor and outdoor pools, making it a great destination for a family swimming day.

The beautiful Pressegger See and Weissensee are also within easy reach. Besides swimming, you can enjoy paddleboarding, sailing, windsurfing, or simply relaxing by the water.

Winter Right on Your Doorstep

From Alp Chalet Gundersheim, winter adventures begin just outside your door. Along the Gail River you'll find beautiful cross-country ski trails and scenic winter walking paths.

Beginners can practise on the nearby Griminitzen ski slope, while the Millennium Express gondola provides access to the Nassfeld ski area with 110 km of slopes, just a 15-minute drive away.
