At home in Carinthia

We are a Dutch family who lost our hearts to Carinthia more than fifteen years ago. Time and again, we return to this region for its mountains, lakes, sunny climate and relaxed atmosphere. What began as a holiday destination soon started to feel like home.

From idea to reality

Our dream

The plan was born at our kitchen table: how wonderful would it be to build our own place here? In May 2024, we found the perfect plot in Gundersheim, right in the Gail Valley with an open view of the mountains.

In autumn 2024, the land was prepared for construction, and in April 2025 the building work officially began. Now we are in the final phase: by early December the chalet will be fully finished inside and ready to enjoy. Our dream is becoming reality.

Our chalet is becoming a warm, modern and comfortable holiday home where you can fully unwind. A home base for those who love nature, peace and the outdoors — whether you come for skiing, hiking, swimming or simply enjoying the views.

With Alp Chalet Gundersheim, we want to give something back from what Carinthia has given us for so many years. We hope our guests will experience the same feeling we have: tranquility, space and the magic of the mountains.
